HALL OF FAME...

     VOTING FOR THE INAUGURAL CLASS OF

THE DAYTON SPEEDWAY HALL OF FAME IS NOW UNDERWAY. 

     Here are the rules.

1.  The voting period will be from October 19, 2008 until midnight, December 31, 2008.

2.  Visitors to this site can vote once per week for up to ten (10) individuals on the list below every week between now and the closing date.  A "week" is Sunday through Saturday.

     I will monitor the e-mail addresses of the voters to enforce the "once per week" rule.  HOWEVER, I recognize that in some cases there are multiple users of the same e-mail address.  In order to be fair, I will recognize multiple votes from the same e-mail address IF the e-mails each have a separate signature.  For example, if both Bob and Mary use "sweethearts@___" for their e-mail address, I'll accept two voting e-mails  per week from that address if one of the e-mails has "Bob" at the bottom and the other has "Mary."

     In the subject line of your e-mail please type "HOF Vote" so that I don't misfile your votes.

     Send your e-mail ballots to me at daytonspeedway@gmail.com. 

     You can vote for up to 10 individuals each time you vote, but you cannot give all 10 of your votes to a single individual or otherwise divide up your 10 picks to favor certain individuals.

3.  I will soon name a small Hall of Fame Comittee to help keep me straight and sort out any issues that arise.

4.  I won't be able to provide status or updates at the voting proceeds.  It will be difficult enough to simply keep track of the voting. 

     If there any problems crop up along the way, I'll let you know and if I can can't come up with a solution I'll seek the advice of the HOF Committee to resolve the issue.  If you have any questions, please contact me here.

     The HOF induction ceremony will take place in the Spring, 2009.
