RON TITUS GRAPHICS

Some 35 years ago I was strolling through an art show when I came across an exhibitor who was showing several really outstanding racing themed works.  I turned to the exhibitor and said, "So you're a race fan, huh?"

"Oh, yeah, a big fan," Ron Titus replied.  And so began a relationship that has endured to the present day.

It wasn't long after that art show that Ron was an active and integral part of our race team and an adventure that stretched from Eldora Speedway Late Models, to ARCA, to NASCAR Cup, to Indy, with car shows and track promotions thrown in.  It's been quite a ride, and the road hasn't always been smooth.  I've often wondered if, given the chance to go back and do it again, Ron's response when I asked him if he was a race fan might be, instead, "Oh, h*ll no!  I just paint the darn things!"

And now I've leaned on him again to cut FODS a break.

Ron is an outstanding artist and over the past several years has completed two sets of prints.  The first, consisting of six prints, focuses on a look back at grass-roots open wheel racing.  The second set of four prints looks at vintage stock cars.

The prints are reproduced from original, hand-drawn, highly detailed, black and white, pen and ink renderings created by Ron.  The prints are produced on 18" wide by 13 1/4" high, 80 lb. acid-free, linen finish stock, and were printed in limited quantities.

The prints are shown below, but it is impossible to properly show the rich detail here.  You have to see them to appreciate them.

Here's the deal that I was able to cajole Ron into offering to FODS.  Ron will sell these prints, hand signed, for just $22 each, individually or in any combination, even across sets, and all you have to do is whisper "I'm a friend of Dayton Speedway" when you call to order.

Shipping is $9.95 within the Continental U.S. (and unlike some folks who really pad their shipping costs, $9.95 is pretty much the actual cost of shipping for Ron).  Ron ships all the prints flat, so your prints arrive ready for framing.

I bought both sets when they were first available and I assure you I didn't get the deal that FODS are offered here.  By the way, you will deal directly with Ron on this transaction, neither I nor the website benefit in any way.

Contact Ron at (937) 296-0892 between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m EDT.  And don't forget to whisper "I'm a friend of Dayton Speedway."
