SHATTO COLLECTION

When Dennis Shatto passed away in December, 2006 he left a lifetime of involvement in the sport that he loved with a passion - auto racing.

He also left behind a large collection of photographs that document his racing career.  His son, Kevin, has been sharing some of his father's Dayton Speedway photos with us over a period of some months and I have finally collected enough to warrant a separate page for some of Denny's photos.

Kevin has promised to send along more photos as he finds them.  I'll post them here as they become available.

If you can help us caption any of these photos, please contact me here.

(Above) The Sportsmen prepare for the start of their feature race sometime in the 1960's.

(Below)  It's Shady Bowl Speedway, not Dayton Speedway, but it's hard to ignore a photo of Sportsmen in action.
